List of verbs and expressions used in Italian subjunctive form

Remember that we use the subjunctive form when there is a subjective emotion involved. There is something personal - opinion, desire, fear etc. We also use the subjunctive with impersonal expressions (It's necessary that, it's important that etc.)

Below is a list of verbs and expressions which require the subjunctive form after them:

Pensare
Credere
Volere
Sembrare
Dubitare

Impersonal expressions which use the subjunctive form after them:

Bisogna che aspettiate un pò.
E' possibile che arrivi una tempesta.
E' importante che
studiate molto.
E' necessario che
la sala sia pulita.
E' meglio che
andiamo via.
E' bene che
tu abbia dormito bene.
E' strano che
non sia ancora arrivata.
E' difficile che
venga ora.
E' un peccato che
abbiano perso.
Può darsi che
tu abbia ragione.
Sembra che
stia per piovare.
